4. Maintenance
VARTA PROFESSIONAL DC AGM are 100 % maintenance free.
The battery lid must not be openend and no water shall be added for their
entire period of use. Keep the surface of the battery clean and dry and use a
damp cloth only for wiping.
5. Taking out of operation
- Store in a cool dry place.
- Check battery voltage every 9 months and recharge if it is below 12.50 volts.
- If the battery is left on the vehicle, disconnect the negative terminal.
6. Battery bank
- It is recommended to connect not more than 4 batteries in a seriel/parallel
connection.
- Always connect only batteries of the same type, capacity, age and state of
charge.
