9 OPERATION
9.1
Charging the battery pack (Fig. 2)
The battery pack for the reciprocating saw has been shipped in a low charge condition to
prevent possible problems. You should charge them prior to use.
Note: Batteries will not reach full charge the first time they are charged.
Allow several cycles for the item to fully charge. The battery should only be
charged indoors.
After normal use, about 1 hour of charging time is required for the battery to be fully charged.
The battery pack will become slightly warm while charging, this is normal and does not
indicate a problem.
Do not place the charger in an area of extreme heat or cold. Best is at normal room
temperature.

The charger has 2 LED lights (red and green).
Slide the battery pack in the charger as shown in fig. 2. Make sure there is proper contact
with the charger.

Reposition pivot shoe (1) assembly in or out.
Retighten both cap screws (6) securely. Do not over tighten cap screws (6).
Remove hex key.
WARNING: Cutting into electrical wiring in walls can cause blade, blade
clamp, and saw bar assembly to become electrically live. Do not touch
metal parts when cutting into a wall; grasp only the insulated gripping
surfaces provided by the tool. Make sure hidden electrical wiring, water
pipes, and mechanical hazards are not in the blade path when cutting into a
wall.
9.5
General cutting
Clamp your work piece if it is portable. Rest the front shoe of the saw on your work piece (be
sure the blade is not contacting the work piece) and start the saw, exerting enough pressure in
the direction of the cut to keep the shoe pressed firmly against the work piece at all times. Do
not force the cut or stall the saw. Don’t bend or twist the blade, let the tool and the blade do
the work.
