6. Replace the worn assembly with the complete
new replacement assembly, no. RC46522.
Reassemble the parts in order, taking care to:
• Spread the top and bottom sealing surfaces
of lower unloader gasket [

] with a light
coating of ISO68 oil (for a complete seal).
• Spread the top and bottom sealing surfaces
of upper cover gasket [
G
] with a light coating
of ISO68 oil (for a complete seal).
7. Place upper cover into position and secure
with the two (2) spring washers [
E
] and
capscrews [
D
]. Consult
Table 6A: Bolt
Torques for Compressor
for proper torque
specification.
8. Test to confirm that the valve functions freely
by depressing the piston with a small screw
driver through the top air port. The valve
should depress with little force and spring
back.
9. Replace the tee: coat the threads with pipe
sealant.
10. Replace the copper valve tubing [

] into
position on the tee [
B
] and tighten.
11. Dispose of discarded valve assembly within
the guidelines of all applicable local, regional
and/or federal laws.

MAINTENANCE

1. Locate the high pressure unloader valve [

2. Remove the copper tubing [

] connected to
the elbow [

] on the top of the high pressure
unloader valve [

].
3. Unscrew the valve body [

].
4. Remove the valve assembly, which consist of:
• Valve body [

• O-ring [

• Piston [

• Spring [
