5.2 ENGINE START-UP AND
SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE

5.2.1 ENGINE START-UP

, and the following steps:
1. Check to make sure all switches [
A
] (for
Welder and Generator) are in the
OFF
position prior to starting.
2. Turn the engine control switch from the
OFF
to the
ON
position [
B
]; wait 3-5 seconds for
the fuel pump to prime the system.
3. Continue turning control switch to the
START
position [
C
] until the engine starts (when the
switch is let go, it will revert back to
ON
position).
4. Let engine run at idle for a 3-5 minutes to
allow for warm up sequence. Engine may
run at full speed until pressure builds up in
the tank.

Air compressor will start automatically
with machine start-up.
NOTE
Regarding the compressor: once the
machine has built up full pressure, it will
immediately idle down.
NOTE
Engine fault light will be on with the key
switch turned to the ON position before
starting the engine.
