ZEROing your PID (Very Important)
1.
To zero machine – Select “Zero” from on-screen menu. You will be
presented with two “zero-ing” options.
2.
Your PID has “zero’d” on start up to the CALIBRATED zero value. This
means the unit may now be displaying minor drift and/or background
“noise”.
3. You may choose to zero the unit to your fresh air environment by
selecting the second zero icon. BE SURE YOU ARE IN A KNOWN FRESH
AIR ENVIRONMENT.
4.
At any time you can return to the calibrated zero by selecting the first
zero icon.
Menu/Soft Keys
•
To check gas selection – Select “i” from on-screen menu.
•
To change gas selection – Select “Gas Bottle” from on-screen menu.
Scroll up/down to find the first letter of your chosen gas. Then up/
down in the subsequent menu to find your gas.
*NB* IF YOU CHANGE THE GAS SELECTION BE SURE TO CHECK, AND AMEND
THE ALARM LEVELS.

To check alarm levels – Select “i” from on-screen menu.
•
To change alarm levels – Select “Spanner” from on-screen menu and
select “Alarm Bell” symbol from subsequent menu.
Calibrating your PID
Your PID will arrive to you calibrated, however if you wish to calibrate it
yourself - please contact Van Walt for advice.
Problems
Please contact Van Walt Ltd if you encounter any problems. DO NOT
attempt to open the PID.
