combine Alias Subnet with Port Isolation to create totally
separate networks.
Note: Many of the advanced subscriber features are only available on the primary LAN
subnet. For this reason, the Alias Subnets are best suited for known devices or PCs,
rather than additional guest networks where subscribers come and go.

WAN Port Mode
Select among DHCP Client, Static IP or PPPoE Port Mode options here to indicate
the WAN Port Mode. By default, the Controller selects DHCP Client as the port
mode.
1.
To connect via a Cable Modem and LAN with DHCP select
DHCP Client Port Mode.
2.
To use a static IP address assigned by your ISP or static
WAN address select Static IP and perform the following
steps:
1.
Enter the Static IP Address of the Controller.
2.
Enter the Subnet Mask for the Controller.
3.
Enter the Default Gateway Address.
4.
Enter the Primary DNS Number.
5.
Optionally, enter the Secondary DNS Number.
3.
To use PPPoE protocol to connect to the ISP select PPPoE
Port Mode and perform the following steps:
1.
Enter the User Name for PPPoE protocol provided by the
ISP.
2.
Enter the correct Password.
3.
Enter the correct MTU for your service, if necessary.
The default 1492 is typical.
4.
Select either Enable to activate Auto Connection or
Disable to deactivate the Auto connection option.
