Connect the fan to the receiver.
a) Detach the receiver from the
Velcro
and plug
in the fan control module wire in the 6-pin
connection of the receiver as indicated below.
Ensure to check the orientation of the connector.
b) Reattach the receiver to the
Velcro
.

Plug the fan’s power cord into the 3-prong
receptacle in the junction box cover.
Test the fan
The fan is normally operated by the remote control sys-
tem when the fi replace is functioning. To test the opera-
tion of the fan after the connections have been made, it
is not necessary to have the fi replace operating.
The fan function may be disabled on the remote control
handset provided with the fi replace. To check whether it
is enabled or not, press the fan button.
If the icons or appear, the fan function is enabled.
If the symbol appears on the handset display, the
function is disabled and must be enabled.
To enable the fan function, remove the handset batter-
ies, reinstall them and quickly, while the display fl ash-
es, press and hold the button for 10 seconds. The
symbol is displayed and when the fan symbol
appears the function is enabled.

To test the fan
On the remote control handset’s display, the icon
represents the fan and the underneath represents
the speed. The fan has four speed levels from low
(1 bar) to high (4 bars). No bar is OFF.

Press button and hold until fan icon fl ashes.

Press button to increase fan speed and
button to decrease fan speed.

To confi rm either setting either press button or
wait (Fan icon displayed).

To turn the fan OFF, press button until all 4
speed level bars disappear.
Regular Operation
The instructions to operate the fan are included in the
Remote Control Operation
section of the I
nstallation
and Owner’s Manual
supplied with the appliance.
Generally the fan, when switched on, will start 4
minutes after the burner comes on and will turn off
10 minutes after the burner turns off.
Note: Regardless of the displayed speed, the fan will
start on High speed and return to the displayed speed
within 4 seconds.
Finish the fi replace installation
1.
Re-attach the burner plate (12 screws).
