CONNECTING SPEAKERS TO PAGEPAC 6 PLUS
WARNING:
DO NOT USE 70 VOLT SPEAKERS! USE PAGEPAC VOICE COIL SPEAKERS!
Both standard speakers (indoor cone-type) and horn speakers may be used with PagePac® 6 Plus. Use
only the type speaker recommended for your situation, and do not exceed the number of speakers or
speaker run length maximums shown in Table 1.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the speakers according to the directions supplied with them.
2. Connect each zone to the appropriate ZONES jacks on the PagePac® 6 Plus (see above).
Special Notes
•
Use RCA-type plug adapters (3) supplied with unit, to prepare speaker cable for connection to zone
jacks.
•
This Valcom equipment requires a properly grounded three-prong AC power receptacle for safe
operation. Have the receptacle checked by a qualified electrician before connecting this equipment.
Do not cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Do not use two-wire extension
cords or adapters to defeat the safety features of this equipment. If you have a two-prong receptacle,
it is very important to have it replaced with a three-prong receptacle, installed by a qualified
electrician.
•
Whenever possible, the PagePac 6 Plus should be plugged into the same receptacle as the voice
system.
•
The PagePac 6 Plus is designed to drive a 45 Ohm load.
