Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING!
• Before cleaning, always turn off and unplug the unit.
• When cleaning the unit, never use flammable or abrasive
products (such as benzene or white spirit), metal
brushes, scouring pads, wire wool or sharp utensils.
• Never immerse the unit, cable or power plug in water.
• Regularly clean your unit and keep it dust free to optimise its
performance, reduce the need for repairs and ensure product
longevity.
• Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Make sure that no
liquid enters the unit.
Cleaning the air intake filter/cover
• Clean the upper/lower air intake filter/cover every 2 weeks in
dusty environments or after approximately 100 hours of use to
prevent the airflow from becoming restricted and consequently
damaging the unit.
1. Hold the upper air intake filter’s tab and remove it. Use the handle at the bottom of
the lower air inlet cover to lift and remove it.
2. Rinse the parts under running water on the opposite side to the air flow’s direction.
Use a mild detergent to remove any stubborn dirt.
3. Let them air dry completely.
4. Reinstall the components.
Manually draining the unit
• Condensation may collect in the unit, especially in humid
environments or areas in which the day and night temperatures
vary considerably.
• Whenever the unit’s water tank becomes full, it will automatically
switch off and the
W.F
indicator will light up.
• Carefully position the unit over a pipe or place a container under
the drain plug to collect the water. Remove the cap. Let the water
run out and, if necessary, tilt the unit backwards to remove the
last few drops of water.
