If you are using a 24 V AC power supply for the transmitter, make sure to use
separate cables for the AC power and the analog outputs to ensure that the EMC
requirements are fulfilled.
Wiring from the back
1. Before connecting wires or cables, make sure that the transmitter is powered off.
2. Open the transmitter cover, if not already open.
3. Remove the center of the rubber lead-through to fit your cable through the opening. Use,
for example, a small screwdriver to thrust the small round center piece off.
4. Lead the cable through the opening.
To preserve the IP rating of the transmitter, the back of the
transmitter must rest flat on the installation surface. Make sure that you
route the cable so that it does not push the back of the transmitter off the
installation surface.
CAUTION!
5. Connect the wiring to the applicable screw terminals.
6. Fit the cable under the strain relief clip next to the rubber lead-through, as applicable. You
can also use the clip with a cable tie.
7. Reattach the transmitter cover.
Tighten the screws hand-tight using the 4-mm Allen key (recommended tightening
torque 3.6 Nm).
8. If you wire only through the back, plug or seal the unused lead-throughs on the bottom.
Wiring through bottom lead-throughs
1. Before connecting wires or cables, make sure that the transmitter is powered off.
2. Open the transmitter cover, if not already open.
3. Open the cable gland and insert a suitable length of the cable inside the transmitter
through the gland.
4. Connect the wiring to the applicable screw terminals.
5. Tighten the cable gland. Avoid overtightening.
• Tightening torque for M20 gland: 8 Nm
• Tightening torque for M16 gland: 6 Nm
6. Reattach the transmitter cover.
Tighten the screws hand-tight using the 4-mm Allen key (recommended tightening
torque 3.6 Nm).
7. Plug or seal the unused lead-throughs.
