Cooling mode
Depending on the country, the product has the heating mode
or heating and cooling mode function.
Products that are delivered at the factory with no cooling
mode are labelled with "S2" in the nomenclature. For these
units, an optional accessory can be used to subsequently
activate the cooling mode.
3.3
Functions of the heat pump
The heat pump has a closed refrigerant circuit in which refri-
gerant circulates.
In heating mode, cyclic evaporation, compression, liquefac-
tion and expansion take in heat energy from the surround-
ings and transfer it to the building. In cooling mode, heat
energy is extracted from the building and released into the
environment.
