2.1 2.1 Usage Usage
Only use the product if it is in perfect working condition.
Only use the product with oil filling.
2.1.1 2.1.1 Intended use Intended use
The rotary vane pump is an oil‑sealed vacuum pump for the fine
vacuum range in the laboratory. The vacuum pump may only be
used indoors in a dry, non‑explosive atmosphere.
Intended use also includes:

complying with all notes on correct vacuum and electrical con ‑
nections,

operating the vacuum pump only within its limitation of use,

pump in a cabinet or a housing, and installing an external auto ‑
matic ventilation system if necessary,

observing the maximum permitted gas temperature at the inlet,

regularly inspecting the vacuum pump according to its operating
conditions and have this carried out by qualified personnel,
ƒ
regularly replacing wear parts,
ƒ
using the vacuum pump and all system parts only for generation
of vacuum in vessels designed for that purpose,

using only original VACUUBRAND VACUUBRAND parts and original or approved
accessories or spare parts. The CE mark or the cTÜVus mark
(see rating plate) may be voided if not using original manufactur ‑
er’s spare parts.
