9. Hexadecimal to Binary Conversion
The Vacon 50X AC drive utilizes hexadecimal numbers to display and store the binary values of some pa-
rameters. These parameters are read and written as four-digit hexadecimal values. The hexadecimal val-
ues are then translated to binary values, with the binary values being compared to the “key” provided for
each parameter to determine what status is shown or what action is commanded.
The following table shows the sixteen hexadecimal values and the corresponding binary values. The bi-
nary values are divided into four columns so you may more readily see which bits of the status or control
words are affected by the binary values.
