9 Trouble-shooting
Problem Possible cause Solution
The appliance will not
start. ▪ The appliance door is
open. ▸ Close the appliance door.
▪ Interruption in power
supply. ▸ Insert plug into mains
socket.
▸ Turn wall switch on.
▸ Check fuse or circuit
breaker.
The washing is not dry
enough. ▪ Mixed laundry load. ▸ Select a longer programme.
Or:
▸ Select timed drying.
Or:
▸ Change the level of dryness
(see page 23).
▪ Interruption in power
supply. ▸ Insert plug into mains
socket.
▸ Turn wall switch on.
▸ Check the fuse or circuit
breaker.
▪ The demo mode is
switched on. ▸ Unplug at the mains and
then plug back in again.
If
Demo mode
ON
appears:
▸ Switch the demo mode off
(see page 25).
The programme takes sig-
nificantly longer than indic-
ated. ▪ The following parts in
the appliance could be
blocked:
– Door filter
– Door filter mat in
door filter
– Front filter mat in
front filter
– Cooler filter
▸ Check and, if necessary,
clean the parts (see page
26).
▪ Very wet washing. ▸ Spin washing at a higher
speed.
▪ The ambient temperat-
ure is too high. ▸ Improve circulation and
ventilation of air in room.
The washing is charged
with static electricity. ▪ Wash items that are
made of man-made
fibres. ▸ Static charge is a normal
characteristic of man-made
fibres and nothing to do with
the appliance.
