Preparing food with a skin or peel:
▸ Prick food with a skin or peel such as potatoes, tomatoes, sausages, shell food and
the like with a fork. Otherwise, the steam that is produced will be unable to escape
and may cause the food to explode.
▸ Crack open the eggs and beat them before cooking.
▸ For fried eggs: prick the yolk before cooking
