Cold storage compartment
Suitable foods can be stored in the chill compartment (temperature between
1 °C and 2 °C) for up to three times longer than in a conventional refrigerator
compartment.
To ensure optimum storage conditions in the chill compartment, the temperat-
ure in the refrigerator compartment must be set between 4 °C and 6 °C. A
higher temperature setting results in higher temperatures in the chill compart-
ment; and conversely, a lower temperature setting results in lower temperat-
ures.
7.1
Humidity
The humidity in the chill compartment can be set to any level. However, it also
depends on the quantity and the moisture content of the stored foods, their
packaging and how often the chill compartment drawer is opened.
The following foods are suited to different levels of humidity:
Low humidity
High humidity
Meat, fish, poultry and sausages
Berries, lettuce, vegetables, fruit and
mushrooms
7.2
Setting the humidity
▸ Pull the chill compartment drawer
out as far as it will go.
▸ Move the slide valve on the top
edge of the chill compartment to the
desired position:
–
Left = low humidity
–
Right = high humidity
