Text information on radio display:
Since the BT45-FORD1 is using the SATELLITE function of your Ford
radio, the option to see the song title, artist name and Album title is
available. While your music plays, short-press the TEXT button
repeatedly to cycle between the different TEXT fields (i.e. artist, album
and song). The default text display is song-title.
Note:
some radios have the TEXT option on preset number 6. Pressing
and holding down the TEXT/PRESET-6 button for too long will result in
the BT45FORD1 switching into AUX mode.
DIP SWITCH SETTINGS:
Set the dip switches to : 1-ON, 2-
ON, 3-ON,
4-
ON
(down = ON)
INSTALLATION:
•
Eject all CD’s from the CD6 radio mechanism to prevent
jamming the CD mechanism when the radio reboots.
•
Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety purposes
only.
•
Remove the radio and disconnect all the plugs, locate the 16-pin
Satellite radio plug found on the back part of the radio-chassis.
•
Use the BT-F24C cable (included in package) to connect the
male 16-pin and 24-pin connectors of the BT-F24C harness into
the radio.
•
Reconnect the factory 16-pin and 24-pin plugs into the female
16-pin and 24-pin plugs of the BT-F24C harness.
•
Run the BT-F24C 3.5’ long cable to the desired mounting
location, preferably an easily accessible one.
•
Connect the 18-pin black Molex of the BT-F24C cable into the
BT45-FORD1 plug labeled “RADIO”.
•
Connect the included microphone to the “MIC” jack of the
BT45-FORD1 and run the 5-meter long cable to any of the
recommended locations. See
