Click Next . (If your CD-ROM uses a different letter, type that letter in place of "D".)
When Windows locates the correct drivers for the U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem
USB, click
Next . When Windows is finished installing the software, click Finish .
Windows Me
Windows Me will first need to install the Modem Enumerator. Select Specify the
location of the driver (Advanced) and click Next. Click Specify a location and type
D:\WinME . Click Next . (If your CD-ROM uses a different letter, type that letter in
place of "D".) When Windows locates the correct drivers for the Modem Enumerator,
click
Next . After this is completed, Windows Me will now prompt you for the drivers for
the Modem Device. Select Specify the location of the driver (Advanced) and click
Next. Click Specify a location and type D:\WinME . Click Next . (If your CD-ROM
uses a different letter, type that letter in place of "D".) When Windows locates the
correct drivers for the U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem USB, click
Next . Click Yes to
continue if a “Digital Signature Not Found” screen appears. When Windows is finished
installing the software, click
Finish .
Windows 2000
Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) and click Next.
Click Specify a location and type D:\2000_XP . Click Next . (If your CD-ROM uses a
different letter, type that letter in place of "D".) When Windows locates the correct
drivers for the U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem USB, click
Next . Click Yes to continue if
a “Digital Signature Not Found” screen appears. When Windows is finished installing
the software, click
Finish.
NOTE: The power light (PWR LED) does not illuminate until the first set of drivers is
installed. If PWR does not illuminate after the drivers are installed, then the modem
may not be connected. Make sure the USB cable is connected between the
modem and the computer.
Windows XP
Select Install from a list or specific location (advanced) and click Next. Click
Include this location in the search and type D:\2000_XP . Click Next . (If your CD-
ROM uses a different letter, type that letter in place of "D".) When Windows locates
the correct drivers for the U.S. Robotics 56K Faxmodem USB, click
Next . Click
Continue anyway when the Windows logo testing screen appears. When Windows
is finished installing the software, click Finish.
Step 5: Install the ControlCenter software.
Remove and reinsert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. An interface will appear
that will enable you to:
•
install software (such as Internet Call Notification or Phonetools fax software)
•
view User Guides for the software and your modem
•
change languages
•
obtain support and troubleshooting information
If the interface does not appear automatically, click Windows Start and then click Run . In
the “Run” dialog box, type D:\setup.exe . If your CD-ROM drive uses a different letter, type
that letter in place of “D”.
