It is the responsibility of the owner/user
to ensure that none of the Stepps
carried out above are in conflict with
the harness user manual. Once the UP
Profile Light has been hooked into the
harness you may connect the
paraglider risers as per normal.

•
Verify that all buckles and straps
are safely secured. The best way
to do this is by starting with the
lowest ones and working oneself
up, grabbing hold of each and
every one in the process.
•
Connect the parachute’s right
bridle into the right karabiner
•
Connect the left bridle to the left
karabiner.
•
Attach the parachute container to
the chest strap using the
Velcro/plastic click buckle
(depending on version)
•
Verify that the closing pins are
securely in place before
launching. An accidental
parachute deployment may have
dangerous consequences.

Always adhere to the harness and
glider manufacturer instructions.
Ensure that the distance between the
karabiners is not reduced due to the
use of the UP Profile Light – reduced
karabiner distance increases the risk
of riser twists.

If you are using
the UP Profile Light with
the original chest-
mounted outer container
you must always verify that
the tow-line release
mechanism does not impede proper
deployment of the parachute at all
times. We recommend using a Y-
shaped strap tow release.
