Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance
and unplug it from the power supply.
Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
1. Do not immerse the base, power cord or kettle in water or other liquids or wash
them in the dishwasher.
2. Wipe off the base and the kettle with a damp cloth and a little dishwashing
detergent. Do not use any abrasive scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects,
hot cleaning agents or disinfectants, since they can damage the appliance.
3. The appliance must be completely dry on the outside before you use it again.
CLEANING AND CARE
DESCALING
1. To keep the appliance operating efficiently and to prolong its service life, it
should be descaled regularly, depending on the hardness of your water.
2. Use off-the-shelf descaling products for electronic kettles and comply with
the manufacturer’s instructions. To descale, fill the kettle half full, maximum,
otherwise the liquid can boil over and can cause severe injuries.
3. Heat the liquid (do not boil!) and allow it to sit for some time in the electronic
kettle.
4. Pour the descaling solution out of the kettle.
5. Then fill it with fresh water and bring to a boil. Pour this water out as well.
Then rinse out the kettle at least twice with clean water.
