1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport safety
devices. Keep packaging materials away from children - dan-
ger of suffocation!
2. Clean all parts with a damp cloth, as described in the chapter
“Cleaning and care”.
3. The appliance has a dual voltage
selector for 120/230~ V. Select
the required voltage by turning
the selector control with a coin
into the correct position before
using the kettle.
4. Open the lid to fill in water.
5. Do not fill the kettle with more
than 0,5 l of water and less than 0.2 l.
6. When using the appliance for the first time fill the kettle with
water up to the MAX mark. For hygienic reasons, please dis-
card the water from the first boiling.
CAUTION!
If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be
ejected and may damage the appliance!
7. Make sure, that the lid is closed correctly
8. Plug the power cord into the power socket.
9. Switch on the kettle by pressing the ON/OFF switch. The con-
trol lamp turns on.
OPERATION
Due to it‘s power rating and protective class the travel kettle cannot
be operated with an Euro plug (dipole). Please check before your
travel which type of power sockets are used in the respective coun-
try and check if your travel adapter has the correct socket for the
kettle. Please check also the available voltage in the travel country.
