Step-By-Step Getting Started 

Plug the Base unit into AC power
Plug the Remote into the Base unit with the DCS-Link

 cable

Plug a microphone to Input A or B, and enable phantom power if required
If you're using the DI input, click the DI switch. (green LED will light)
Connect the Chan. A or B Pre Output to any unused input on your I/O device with a 
TRS or TS cable
Adjust GAIN on Channel A or B until the desired amount of gain is achieved, and you 
are not clipping the input of your I/O device
If you are recording a stereo source and need to adjust both gains simultaneously, 
click the STEREO switch, and Channel A GAIN becomes the master
If you are having trouble with clipping the inputs of your recording device, please 
refer to the manual regarding setting up the Gain Trim (page 6), or refer to the 
accompanying DVD

Follow the steps above in “Setting up the Remote Preamp”
Insert headphone cable into CUE OUT on the Base unit
Use A or B TO CUE to adjust Channel A or B's level to the headphones
Use CUE VOL to adjust the overall headphone volume
Use REVERB to adjust the amount of reverb in the headphones
To change the reverb type, click the REVERB switch, and use the -/+ keys under the 
numerical display to select a new reverb type - when finished, click the REVERB 
switch again
To adjust the EQ of your headphone mix, click the LO or HI EQ button
Use the -/+ switches under the numerical display to adjust the EQ in -/+ 3 dB 
steps. When finished, click the EQ switch again

Follow the steps above, "Setting up the Remote Preamp" and "Using the 
Monitoring Features"
From your recording device or mixer, send the mix from a stereo output to the C IN or 
CUE IN on the base unit
If using C IN, use C TO CUE on the Remote to adjust the level of this incoming mix in 
the headphones
Use A or B TO CUE to adjust the level of Channel A or B in the headphones
Record-arm a track in your DAW. NOTE: It might be necessary to mute the track you are 
recording onto, otherwise, you will be hearing yourself twice (once through the Remote 
Preamp's monitoring path, and again through your DAW's software monitoring)
If you are recording another artist, click TALK to enable Talkback. Talkback mic level 
can be adjusted according to instructions on pages 6 and 7 of the manual, or refer 
to the accompanying DVD
