(applicable uniquement aux instruments qui
offrent la fonction d’acouphène).
Contre-indications
Les contre-indications cliniques générales pour
l’utilisation des instruments auditifs et du logiciel
de masqueur d’acouphènes sont :
•
La perte auditive ne se situe pas dans la plage
d’appareillage de l’instrument auditif (c’est-à-
dire le gain, la réponse en fréquence)
•
Acouphènes sévères
•
Déformation de l’oreille (par exemple, canal
auditif fermé, absence du pavillon)
•
Perte auditive neurologique (pathologies
rétrocochléaires telles que le nerf auditif
absent/non viable)
Les principaux critères de référence d’un client vers
un avis médical ou un autre spécialiste et/ou un
traitement sont les suivants :
•
Déformation congénitale ou traumatique
visible de l’oreille;
•
Antécédents d’écoulements actifs de l’oreille
au cours des 90 jours précédents;
•
Antécédents de perte auditive soudaine ou
rapidement progressive d’une ou des deux
oreilles dans les 90 jours précédents.
•
Étourdissements sévères ou chroniques;
•
Écart audiométrique air-os égal ou supérieur
à 15 dB à 500 Hz, 1 000 Hz et 2000 Hz;
•
Signes visibles d’une accumulation
importante de cérumen ou d’un corps
étranger dans le canal auditif;
•
Douleur ou inconfort dans les oreilles;
•
Aspect anormal du tympan et du conduit
auditif, tel que :
- Inflammation du conduit auditif externe;
- Perforation du tympan;
- Autres anomalies qui, selon
l’audioprothésiste, sont d’ordre médical.
