Use

1.  Place the machine on a fat surface.
2.  Opening the Lid  

•  First press the 

button so that you unlock the lid

•  Then pull the lid upwards.

3.  Then fll in the water (max. 1

 Litre). You can read the

filling level on the water level indicator of the kettle

4.  Close the lid until you hear it lock in place
5.  Place the kettle fush on the base
6.  Electrical connection

•  Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to 

use is the same as that of the machine. Details are to be 
found on the label on the base. 

•  Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 

50 Hz safety socket.

7.  Switch on the kettle by pressing the switch. The water level 

indicator is illuminated during the entire boiling process

.

Switching off/Interrupting Operation 

There are two ways to stop/interrupt the boiling process:

•  The appliance switches off automatically after the water has 

boiled.

•  You can press the switch upwards in order to stop or

interrupt the boiling process.

 WARNING: 

•  Do not remove the appliance from the base without 

switching it off beforehand. As long as the switch is in the 
lower position the kettle is switched on.

•  Always switch the device off before you remove it from the 

base! Please also ensure that it is switched off when you 
put it back on the base

!

 WARNING: DANGER Of SCALDING! 

•  When pouring the water out, keep the lid closed. 
•  During operation the housing becomes hot. Do not touch it 

and allow the device to cool down before storing it away.

•  Remove the mains plug.
•  The illumination in the water level indicator goes off.
•  Emptying the water container.

Mains Cable Take-up Device

The mains cable can be wound up on the base.

Cleaning

 WARNING: 

•  Always turn the device off before cleaning it and remove 

the mains plug. Wait until the device has cooled down.

•  Never immerse the device or the base in water or other 

liquids.

 CAUTION: 

•  Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.
•  Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

•  Rinse the water container out with clean water. Then dry it 

off with a cloth.

•  Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
•  There is a permanent flter in the spout. In order to clean the 

flter, pull it out with the lid open. Rinse out the flter with run
ning water. Reinsert it, taking note of the guide mechanism

Decalcifcation

•  The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the 

hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is 
used.

•  If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably 

needs to be decalcifed. 

•  Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available 

decalcifcation agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the 
quantities stated in the instructions.

 

NOTE: 

After descaling the device boil fresh water in it several times 
(approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues. Do 
not consume this water.

Troubleshooting

•  It is not possible to switch the machine on.

 

Possible Cause:  

After being used without or with too little water the machine 
has not cooled down suffciently. 

 

Remedy:  

Allow the machine to cool down for 15 min.

•  The machine switches off before the water has boiled.

 

Possible Cause:  

The heated base is coated with too much lime or the circuit 
of the plug is overloaded.

 

Remedy:  

Descale the machine as instructed. 
Check the mains connection.

•  The machine does not switch off.

 

Possible Cause:  

The lid is not closed or the flter is not inserted.

 

Remedy:

 

Close the lid until it locks in place or re-insert the flter.
