Key Container

To prevent the key container from possibly sticking, verify all

items are positioned well inside the key container before closing.

Do not place any keys, cards, or other items on the back of the key

container.
To close the key container, turn it so the compartment holding the

keys is facing you.  Insert the key container into the bottom of the

TRAC-Box BT Smart and push up on the key container until it

clicks and latches.

Introduction

The TRACcess

®

TRAC-Box BT Smart stores multiple keys and access cards in a rugged key housing.   TRAC-Box BT Smart

communicates through Bluetooth

®

or infrared wireless technologies with wireless TRACcess electronic keys (for information

on operation, refer to user instructions for the specific key).

Each time an authorized TRACcess key opens the container, a record of the activity is stored in the TRAC-Box BT Smart

and the TRACcess electronic key.  The key transmits the activity record to the TRACcess Manager system.

To communicate, the distance between the key and device should be less than three (3) feet when using Bluetooth, or

less than a foot when using infrared.  Direct sunlight can interfere with infrared communication, if required, shade the area

between the TRAC-Box BT Smart and key.

Shackle

The shackle removes easily in one step for installation.  After

doing the release shackle action using the electronic key, hold the

TRAC-Box BT Smart and push down firmly on the top of the shackle,

then pull up on the shackle to completely remove it.
To replace the shackle, line up the shackle with the TRAC-Box BT Smart

and push down until it clicks into place.

Battery

The TRAC-Box BT Smart uses a long-life lithium battery and does not need to be replaced.  No maintenance is required and

the battery is designed to last the life of the product — approximately six (6) years.
