Step 1: See below the thermocouple connection without the Carbon Monoxide

detector hooked up. Once you screw the thermocouple clockwise using a 5/16”

wrench into the gas control, you will start to feel it getting tight. Continue to turn it

until you start to feel some resistance - at this point give it a 1/4 to 1/2 turn more.

This will ensure that you do not over tighten and damage the thermocouple .
