Operation
Nail guns are high-speed equipment that can cause serious or fatal injury if not used
correctly or without taking proper safety precautions.
ENSURE THAT NO PART OF ANY
HUMAN, ANIMAL OR CLOTHING IS PLACED IN/NEAR THE AREA WHERE NAILS ARE FIRED OUT OF
THE GUN, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU THINK THE GUN IS EMPTY OR LOADED WITH NAILS.
It
is extremely important that you read and fully understand the information in this section and all other
safety warnings / recommendations and usage instructions before using the equipment
. • Always
wear suitable protective clothing and equipment when using the tool. • Inspect the tool before each use and
check for wear or damage. If the tool is damaged, have it inspected and repaired at an authorised service
centre before using it again. • If you experience abnormal behaviour from the tool during operation, this is an
indication of wear or damage. It is recommended to have it inspected and repaired at an authorised service
centre before using it again. • Before use, ensure the battery is adequately charged. • Only framing gas
cartridges should be used in this nail gun. Finishing gas cartridges are not suitable.
Before Use - Check the Contact Safety Pin and Trigger
Mechanism
Before loading nails and using the tool, perform the following procedure to ensure that the
contact firing safety mechanism is operating correctly. If it is not, do NOT use the tool –
have it inspected and repaired by an authorized service centre or technician
.
1. Remove the battery from the tool.
2. Remove all nails from the magazine.
3. Attempt to operate the trigger – it should
remain in the locked position.
4. While holding the nail feeder (
A
) near
the centre of the magazine (to simulate
loaded nails), press the safety contact
tip (
B
) against an object (wood ideally)
until it is fully retracted and hold in this
position.
5. Pull the trigger (
C
), then release it – it
should immediately return to the un-
pulled position.
6. Remove the safety contact tip from the object – it should immediately return to the fully extended
position.

safety contact tip (

) against an object (wood ideally) until it is fully retracted (do NOT pull the trigger) –
the tool MUST NOT fire.
9. Remove the safety contact tip from the object while holding the nail feeder (
A
) near the centre of the
magazine (to simulate loaded nails) – it should immediately return to the fully extended position. Pull the
trigger and hold for at least 5 seconds – the tool MUST NOT fire.
10. While holding the nail feeder (
A
) near the centre of the magazine (to simulate loaded nails), place the
safety contact pin on the work piece and press the machine down to push the safety contact pin in, then
pull the trigger, the machine MUST fire.
