Safety
Read and understand all safety warnings before using the tool.
•
Ensure that no part of any human, animal or clothing is placed in/near the area where
nails are fired out of the gun, regardless of whether you think the gun is empty or loaded
with nails.
•
Avoid dangerous environments. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite dust or fumes.
•
Keep the tool and all components away from children.
•
Keep children and bystanders away while operating power tools.
•
Before each use, check the safety contact pin and firing mechanisms are operating correctly.
•
Keep the work area clean and well lit
•
Keep the tool pointed away from yourself and others at all times. Keep hands and body parts
away from moving parts and use safety guards.
•
Do not allow persons unfamiliar with the tool or its operation to use the tool.
•
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye and ear protection. Safety equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes and hard hat should be used in appropriate conditions.
•
Power tool plugs must match the power outlets. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets
will reduce the risk of electric shock.
•
When operating power tools outdoors, use only extension cords suitable for outdoor use. Use
of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
•
Do not abuse the power cord. Never use the power cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the
power tool.
•
Disconnect power from the tool before unplugging, when not in use, before servicing, making
adjustments, storing, or when changing accessories such as nails, etc.
•
Do not keep the trigger or safety depressed whilst loading fasteners – the unintentional firing of
a fastener could cause serious personal injury.
•
Do not attempt to fire fasteners if the nails/staples are jammed. This will cause damage to the
driver blade or other parts.
•
Do not attempt to drive fasteners into hard surface such as rock, concrete, masonry, bricks or
steel. Personal injury or damage to the power tool may result.
•
Do not drive fasteners close to the edge of the work piece.
•
Do not drive fasteners on top of other fasteners.
•
Only use parts and accessories recommended by manufacturer.
•
Do not modify any part of the tool or its safety mechanisms.
Battery and Charging Safety
•
Use only with the batteries and battery charger specified by the manufacturer.
•
Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before inserting the battery pack.
