5. ASSEMBLING THE BRACKETS
Before attaching the unit to your lintel bar, you have to assemble the brackets.
•YouwilluseeithertheLongT-Brackets(A)ortheShortT-Brackets(B)toattachtheunittoyourfireplace,
depending on the width of your lintel bar.
• Use a measuring tape to measure the width of your lintel bar, measuring from the back of the lintel bar
tothefrontofyourfireplace.
• Use the width measurement of your lintel bar to determine whether you will need the Long T-Brackets
or the Short T-Brackets.
• Assemble the 2 T-Brackets (long or short) to the 2 Lintel Clamps (C), using the Short Machine Screws (J).
•Donotover-tightenthemachinescrewsyet.Leavethemloose.Youwilltightenthemlaterwhenyouadjust
the width of the clamp.
• Insert the Short Thumb Screws (F) into the back of the Lintel Clamps, as shown.
NOTE: You can assemble the T-Brackets to the Lintel Clamps either face-up or face-down (as shown),
dependingontheheightofyourfireplace.Tryitface-upfirst.Iftheclampsdonotfityourfireplaceproperly,
you can always go back and re-assemble them face-down.
