Ringer Setting
You can select a ring tone (external from the telephone network or internal from
other handsets registered to the base) and adjust the volume.
1. Press
Menu
soft key.
2. Press or
key repeatedly to choose
HS Settings
menu, then press the
MENU/R
key.
3. Press the or
key to choose
Ring Setup
, press the
MENU/R
key.
4. Use or
key to choose
INT Ring/EXT Ring
, press the

key.
Muting the Microphone
During a conversation, you can temporarily switch off your phone’s microphone, so
that the other party cannot hear you.
• Press the
key, during a conversation. The “
Call Muted
” appears on the LCD.
• To unmute, press the
key again.
Adjusting Audio Volume
During a conversation, you can use the or
key to adjust the level of the ear-
piece volume (or the handsfree speakerphone, if activated) from VOL1 to VOL5. The
selected volume will be displayed on the LCD.
You can also select the earpiece volume or the speaker volume by the
Audio
Setup
in
Menu under
HS settings
as descibed on page 40.
