Special Operations
You can place a call on hold, transfer a call to another extension,
connect two or more parties in a conference call or mute a call. These
operations except mute, depend upon how they are set up on your
PBX system. Contact your PBX Administrator of more information. If
you have configured the
MER 9600C
to the
hold, transfer, and
conf keys on your Host Telephone, you should be able to perform the
operations in the normal manner. The
mute key is a function of the
Handset.
Placing a Call On Hold
1. Press the
hold key on the
Handset during the call. You’ll
hear a “beep” and see:
2. To return to the call holding, press the
hold or talk key.
Transferring a Call
1. Press the
xfer key on the
Handset during the call. You’ll
hear a “beep” and see:
2. Dial the number of the
extension to which you are
transferring the call.
3. Press the
talk key on the Handset before or after that party
answers. This completes the transfer.
Setting up a Conference Call
1. To connect a second party to
a call in progress, press the
conf key on the Handset.
You’ll hear a “beep” and see:
