COM1 to COM3 can be set up as a straight-through or crossover connection
through a jumper cap near the DB9 interface. The jumper cap is installed parallel to
DB9 as a crossover and perpendicular to DB9 as a straight-through connection.
If the board to be tested needs a backup power, weld a 0 Ω resistor R118.

Connection
This section takes UM980 as an example to give an introduction of how to evaluate the
modules or boards using the EVK.
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) may cause damage to the device. All
operations mentioned in this chapter should be carried out on an antistatic
workbench using an antistatic wrist strap and conductive foam pad. If there is
no antistatic workbench, wear an antistatic wrist strap and connect the other
end of the strap to the metal frame to avoid electrostatic damage.
Hold the edge of the evaluation board, and do NOT touch the components
directly.
Carefully check the EVK to make sure that there is no apparent loose or damaged
components. If you have any questions, please contact Unicore or the local distributors.
Do the following steps to evaluate.
1.
Ensure adequate antistatic measures, such as wearing a grounded antistatic wrist
strap, using a grounded workbench, etc.
2.
Connect the RF cable to the ANT interface on UM980eb.
