Instructions for the installer

Inspections and maintenances made accor-
ding to the to rule of art and at regular inter-
vals, as well as the exclusive use of original
spare parts, are of primary importance for
an operation exempt from anomalies and a
guarantee of long duration of the product.
The guarantee is valid if the maintenance of
the appliance has correctly been performed.

5

INSPECTIONS AND
SERVICE

The consumer has to be trained on the correct use and on the
operation of his own  heating system, particularly it is the duty
of the installer:
- To deliver to the user this instruction manual, as well as the
other documents related to the appliance inserted in the plastic
bag. The user has to guard such documents in order they can
be available for any further consultation.

4

INFORMATIONS TO BE
GIVEN TO THE USER

- To remember that, in the respect of the norms in force, the
control and the maintenance of the appliance must be
performed accordingly to the prescriptions and with the
frequency stated by the manufacturer.
- If the appliance had to be sold or transferred to another owner
make sure that this manual always accompany it, so that it can
be consulted by the new owner or the technician.

3.10 - FIRST UTILISATION

Preliminary checks
The first put in operation must be done by professionally
qualified personnel. In the case of damages to people, ani-
mals and goods deriving from the no observance of the
instructions contained in this manual, Unical cannot be
considered responsible.

Inspections and Maintenances not perfor-
med can cause material and personal da-
mages

For this reason we recommend to stipulate an inspection or
maintenance contract.

The inspection serves to determine the real state of an ap-
pliance and to compare it with the optimal state. This happens
through measurement, control, observation.
The maintenance is necessary to eliminate possible devia-
tions of the real state from the optimal state. This takes place,
normally, through the cleaning and the replacement the of
single components submitted to consumption.

ATTENTION!
Before connecting the storage tank to the
heating system proceed with an accurate
cleaning of the pipelines with a convenient

product, in order to eliminate metallic residues  of work-
manship and of welding, of oil and of fats that could be
present and that, coming up to the tank,  could alter its
operation.
For the washing of the heating system do not to use sol-
vents, because its use could damage the system compo-
nents.
The non observance of the instructions of this manual can
cause damages to people, animals and goods, towards
which the Unical cannot be considered responsible.

WARNING!

Before putting into operation the storage tank it is conve-
nient to ascertain that on the domestic hot water circuit,
the safety valve, the automatic air vent and a drain valve
are fitted.
- In case of particularly calcareous water its treatement is
necessary.
- In case the water supply pressure is higher than 4 bar, a
pressure reducing valve has to be fitted.
- For a convenient optimization of the water outlet tempe-
rature the use of a thermostatic mixing valve is recom-
mended.
- Never exceed the maximum working temperature of sto-
rage tank.
- In case the storage tank is used in combination with a
solar system:

The expansion vessel of the solar system has to with-

stand the high temperatures and the membrane has to be
suitable to the contact with mixture water/glycole.
- To avoid the self natural circulation it is necessary to in-
sert a non return valve.
- Never exceed the maximum temperature of the heating
circuit’s storage tank.
