4. Operating Mode / Speaker Outputs
The UBA 2202I can be operated in stereo (2 channel) or bridge (1 channel) mode.
In stereo mode, the output power is 2x 20W, and in bride mode it is 1x 40W.
The mode selection is done via the slide switch (5) and may only be changed when unit is switched off !
Bridge Mode
In bridge mode, channel 1 and 2
are bridged internally.
Only CH 2 inputs and controls
are active in bridge mode.
The audio input of CH 1 has no function in this
mode.
The minimum speaker impedance for bridge
mode is 8 ohms !
Stereo Mode
In stereo mode, channels 1 and
2 can be used individually.
The minimum speaker
impedance in stereo mode is 4
ohms per channel.
3.1 Input connectors
The UBA 2202I provides one balanced screw terminal input and
two unbalanced RCA inputs for each channel.
The two RCA inputs (7, 8) are connected in parallel internally.
Regardless whether the balanced or unbalanced inputs is used,
the input sensivity can be switched from 5mV / 600 ohms (MIC)
to 775mV / 10kOhms (LINE) by means of the MIC/LINE switch
(2, 3).
3.2 Volume control
With the volume CH1/CH2 controls (9, 10) you can adjust the
output level and with the controls HI + LO (11, 12) you can
adjust treble and bass.
3.3 Limiter
The limiter function reduces temporarily too high input signals to
normal level.
To enable it, slide the switch (6) to the “on” position.
