Digital input terminal,
this is a terminal with 3 poles: 1, 2, C.
Internal voltage between the digital inputs and C poles (system) is
5Vdc. Therefore, a clean contact without voltage (switch, shunt, relay,
etc.) must be connected between them (INxx and C). If any external
voltage is applied, this will break the board (see wiring diagram
available from Master).
For each input, use a minimum 1x0.22 cable or higher. Maximum
distance 500 m. For each system “C”, use a minimum 1x0.22 cable or
higher. Maximum distance 500 m.

LED terminal
, is made up of 4 poles: 1+, 1-, 2+, 2-.
1+ channel no.1 positive power supply (LED anode).
1- channel no.1 negative power supply (LED cathode).
2+ channel no.2 positive power supply (LED anode).
2- channel no.2 negative power supply (LED cathode).
These terminals can be applied:
- Backlit buttons with LEDs or bulbs 12V 60mA max.
- Utilities to 12V max 60mA, relay or similar.
FIRST START-UP
Place the
Priscilla
board on the shunt box.
Connect wires as indicated in the diagrams.
Make sure the digital inputs are not powered and that there is no voltage
over 10V in the RS485 bus terminal (A and B) and that there is no voltage
over 18Vdc or ac voltage on +/- poles, if previously wired.
Voltage other than that indicated in the manual may damage the board.
When the board is powered, the red led turns on while the green led blinks
once a second, 5 seconds after power supply.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the board is powered and the red led remains off:
Ÿ
Make sure wiring is correct
Ÿ
Make sure there is continuous voltage in the power terminal (+/-), and
between 12 and 18 Vdc.
If the board does not communicate with the PC or with
Vesta
:
Ÿ
Make sure the red led is on and, if so, follow the steps indicated above.
Ÿ
Make sure the green led blinks once a second. If it blinks faster, this
means that the board is in BOOT MODE (see
Lapis
manual). If the
green led is on or off, cut-off power from the board for about 10
seconds and turn back on.
Ÿ
Make sure RS485 bus terminal wiring is correct.
Ÿ
Make sure the BUS RS485 cable is not interrupted and connected with
either
Vesta
or
Clavis
.
Ÿ
Check the Lapis troubleshooting procedure.
If the digital input does not work:
Ÿ
Make sure electrical wiring is correct.
Ÿ
Make sure there is not voltage other than those listed in this manual that
damage the input.
Ÿ
Make sure the switch or relay or clean contact work correctly.
Ÿ
Check the
Lapis
troubleshooting procedure.
If the LED output does not work:
Ÿ
Make sure the yellow led turns on or turns off according to the associated
command.
Ÿ
Ensure that the LEDs are correctly connected and polarized or that there
are no false contact between the terminals of the channel (ie. 1+ and
1-).
Ÿ
Check the
Lapis
troubleshooting procedure.
If the problem persists after these checks, contact your dealer or
service center.
