INSTALLATION:
•
Select a suitable mounting position where the sensor will be exposed to sunlight and not effected by other
artificial lighting.
•
Remove the lid (pull off). A small flat head screwdriver can be used to lever the lid off via the small screw
driver cut out on each edge.
•
Remove all components from the junction box and decide which self-sealing inlets you will use for your input
and output cables. Pierce carefully with a screwdriver. Alternatively, the rubber inlets can be popped out and
cable glands used.
•
Mount the junction box in position via the two mounting holes in the centre of the junction box, using
screws / rawl plugs relevant to the material you wish to mount to e.g. brick or wood.
•
SELF SEALING INLETS: Push the input / output cables through the pierced inlets.
CABLE GLANDS: Remove locking nut. Push cable gland through the entry hole and secure in place with the
locking nut on the inside of the box. Push through the cable so that a sufficient amount is pulled through for
wiring (the domed clamp may need to be loosened beforehand depending on the diameter of the cable.
NOTE: only 2 cable glands are included. For additional connections, the self-sealing inlets will suffice, or
more glands can be purchased to increase IP Rating (recommended).
•
Wire the photocell to the input cable and output cable(s) via the terminal block as per the diagram below.
When making connections, ensure the terminals are tightened securely onto the stripped conductors and
not the insulation cover, and that no loose strands of wire protrude. If cable glands are used, tighten the
domed clamp to hold the cable in place securely.
