Clearing Conversation Memory

1.

Press the Clear key (hold down the 

key and press the

key). You will see MEMORY CLEAR

[CONVERSATION] on the display.

2.

Press the 

key.

3.

You will see CLEAR CONVERSATION? on the display.
Press the 

key to answer “Yes.”

All of your Conversations will be cleared, but Memos and Directory
entries will remain.

The Conversation keys allow you to do two things: (1) save a
Conversation and (2) search through all Conversations in memory.

How Conversations Are Saved in
Memory

The Compact/C automatically saves Conversations one after another
in its memory. The newest line is at the bottom; the oldest at the
top. Each time you add a new line, the old ones move up, like
credits on a movie screen. The memory holds about 110 lines. After
the memory fills up, the oldest line is erased each time a new line is
added. See Memory on page 21 for more information about storage
space.
