APPENDIX F
OS/2 Installation
The replacement procedure for the OS/2 device driver works with IBM OS/2 1.1,
IBM OS/2 1.2 or the standard OEM MS OS/2 version 1.1 & 1.2 with unmodified ISA
disk device drivers. Other versions have not been tested.
Procedures for OS/2 Release 1.1
1. "IMPORTANT !!!". Back up the original OS/2 "Install" diskette and use
the backup copy of the "Install" diskette for the following steps.
2. Copy OS2_1.1\DISK01.sys from UltraStor’s OS/2 ISA disk device driver
diskette to the OS/2 "install" diskette.
3. Boot up the system with the modified "Installation" diskette in drive A.
4. Proceed with the normal OS/2 installation.
Note: Please refer to the OS/2 installation guide.
Procedures for OS/2 Release 1.2 with 3.5" diskette
1. "IMPORTANT !!!". Back up the original OS/2 "Install" diskette and use
the backup copy of the "Install" diskette for the following steps.
2. Copy OS2_1.2\DISK01.sys from UltraStor’s OS/2 ISA disk device driver
diskette to the OS/2 "install" diskette.
3. Boot up the system with the modified "Installation" diskette in drive A.
4. Proceed with the normal OS/2 installation.
Note: Please refer to the OS/2 installation guide.
Procedures for OS/2 Release 1.2 with 5.25" diskette
1. "IMPORTANT !!!". Back up the original OS/2 "Install" diskette and use
the backup copy of the "Install" diskette for the following steps. Since the
"Installation" diskette does not contain enough space to accommodate the
UltraStor device driver, several extra steps are required.
2. Copy all *.RC@ and FDISK.COM to a temporary diskette.
