Shiatsu Component Replacement
Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, 3/8” wrench, 7/16” wrench, wire cutter, and staple puller.
Refer to figure 1 and follow the step-by-step instructions below for Shiatsu massage unit
replacement.
Shiatsu massage unit removal / installation
Step 1 – Remove the power source by unplugging the chair from the AC wall outlet.
Step 2 – Remove the removable back fabric to expose the Shiatsu unit.
Step 3 – Remove the cable clamp from the wooden frame.
Step 4 – Unplug the Shiatsu unit from the control box.
Step 5 – Remove the (4) 1/4 – 1 whiz lock bolts and (4) 3/16 black nylon washers securing the
Shiatsu metal frame to the wooden frame.
Step 6 – Remove the (4) 1/4 – 20 x 1 1/2 whiz lock bolts and (4) 1/4 – 20 flange lock nuts securing
the Shiatsu unit to the metal frame.
Step 7 – Install the new massage unit by reversing removal process. When installing new unit,
cable must be on the left side for proper placement.
