minimum age of the operator.
• Check the appliance, battery
cables and terminals for dam-
age before each use. Use
only original accessories. Do
not work with a damaged or
incomplete appliance or one
which has been converted
without the permission of the
manufacturer. Ensure that
damage to your appliance is
made good by a specialist or
by customer service (see “Ser-
vice Center”). This ensures the
safety of the appliance is main-
tained.
• Make sure before use that the
appliance is properly assem-
bled. Always fasten the hoses
with hose clamps to prevent
the release of the hoses and oil
spills.
• The appliance may only be
powered with SELV (Safety Ex-
tra Low Voltage) as indicated
by the label on the appliance.
• Keep the appliance away
from rainy or wet conditions.
Penetration of water into the
electrical appliance increases
the risk of electric shock.
• Pay attention as well to the
operating instructions of your
vehicle manufacturer regarding
the pumping of oil.
• Wear personal protective
equipment such as work
clothes, breathing protec-

recommend the use of acid

reduces the risk of injury.

pumping operation. A moment
of inattention while operating
the appliance may result in in-

• Be especially careful when
working on a vehicle battery.
Battery acid may leak and
cause serious injury. Rinse
the affected skin or eyes with
water and consult a doctor if
necessary.
• Do not park your vehicle on an
inclined surface, as a complete
drainage is not possible then.
• Grasp the terminals only by
the insulated handles. Connect
the positive pole terminal to
the positive pole of the vehicle
battery and the negative termi-

“Operational start-up”). The
possibility of an electrical short
circuit is thereby avoided.
