DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT AND REPLACEMENT
Periodic adjustment of the drive belt will be necessary to maintain proper
tension. If the belt is too loose, it will make a "popping" noise while
accelerating, indicating the need for immediate adjustments. Before adjusting
the belt drive, disconnect the battery power to prevent accidental starts or
shocks. Loosen the rear axle nuts until the wheel can easily move backwards
and forwards by hand. Rotate the belt adjuster on the rear axle until the
proper tension is achieved. Tighten the axle nuts and recheck the belts tension.
Belt needs to be tightened after several hours use when new.
If the belt is broken and needs replacement, use the above procedure, but
remove the rear wheel entirely to install new belt.
ALWAYS DEFLATE THE TYRE BEFORE
DISASSEMBLING THE WHEEL
REPLACING OR REPAIRING TYRES
Remove the wheel from the scooter and deflate tyre. Remove
the four hub bolts. Remove the inner and outer wheel and repair
or replace tyre.
Reassemble the hub being careful not to puncture the inner tyre
between the hub halves.
Inflate tyre to proper pressure (28-32psi)
Reinstall the wheel onto the scooter.
CHARGE BATTERY AFTER EVERY USE
