LOCKING THE MOUNTING BRACKET
1. Using needle-nose pliers, detach the locking pin
from the mounting bracket. (See Figure 4)

2. Insert the locking pin through the hole on the back
of the smoke/CO detector. (See Figure 5)

3. When attaching the smoke/CO detector to the
mounting bracket, the locking pin's head will fit into
a notch on the bracket.
UNLOCKING THE MOUNTING BRACKET
1. Insert a flathead screwdriver between the mounting
bracket and the locking pin. (See Figure 6)

2. Pry the smoke/CO detector away from the bracket
by pushing up the screwdriver and turning the
smoke/CO detector counterclockwise at the same
time.
