SET UP

1.  Insert a new "AA" battery (not included) into the back

of the clock and slide button to your time zone.

NOTE: If no time zone is selected, the clock will

default to Pacific Time.

2.  For best results place clock within 6-10' of a window.

3.  Once the battery is installed, the second hand will

advance 8 seconds (2 seconds per step, times 4

steps).

4.  Within 5 minutes, the clock will either receive the

signal and set itself to the exact time or it will fast

forward the hands to the 4, 8 or 12 o'clock position

and continue to search for a signal.

5.  In most cases, the signal will be found overnight.

6.  If the hour hand is incorrect after the clock sets itself,

reset the button to your time zone.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (DST)

If you live in an area that does not recognize DST

(Arizona or Indiana), slide the DST button to the "OFF"

position to deactivate the DST program. To reactivate,

slide the DST button to the "ON" position. (See Figure 1)

NOTE: If the DST button is activated, the clock
will automatically advance one hour in the
Spring and 11 hours in the Fall.

MANUAL TIME SETTING

On rare occasions, the clock may not connect to the

radio signal within 24 hours because of the strength of

the signal or geographic location.

The clock can be set manually and used as a regular

quartz wall clock until it finds the radio signal.

For time zones outside of PT, MT, CT or ET, you must

manually set the time.

To set manually, press and hold the "SET" button on

the back of the clock and use the "WAVE" button to

advance until you reach the desired time. The clock will

continue to search for the radio signal. (See Figure 2)

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the clock is not picking up a signal:

1.  Take the clock down, remove the battery and

replace with a new one.

2.  Put the clock in an upright position in a new location

(by a window is suggested). Avoid putting the clock

near electrical items such as TVs and computers.

Select the appropriate time zone on the back of

the clock.

3.  Put the clock down and leave it alone for 24 hours.

It should receive the signal overnight.

4.  If the hour hand is incorrect after the clock sets itself,

slide button to your time zone.
