or extra hazard occupancies with a minimum residual (flowing) pressure of 7 psi (0,5 bar).
APPLICATION B:
Installed in accordance with NFPA 13 standard sprinkler position and area/density flow calculation requirements for high piled stor-
age occupancies with a minimum residual (flowing) pressure of 7 psi (0,5 bar).
APPLICATION C:
Installed in accordance with NFPA 13 standard sprinkler position and area/density flow calculation requirements for high piled stor-
age occupancies with a minimum residual (flowing) pressure of 10 psi (0,7 bar).
APPLICATION D (“Specific Application” with ceiling only protection, i.e., no in-rack sprinklers):
When acceptable to the Authority Having Jurisdiction, installed to protect single, double, multiple-row, or portable rack storage (no
solid shelves), as well as palletized or solid piled storage, of Class I-IV commodity, encapsulated or non-encapsulated, as well as
cartoned or uncartoned unexpanded Group A or B plastics, or, cartoned expanded Group A or B plastics, with:
a storage height of up to 20 feet (6,1m);
a maximum ceiling height of 25 feet (7,6m);
a minimum deflector to top of storage clearance of 36 inches (0,9m);
a minimum design density of 0.60 gpm/ft
2
(24 mm/min);
a minimum residual (flowing) pressure of 10 psi (0,7 bar);
a minimum “Reduced Design Area” of 2000 ft
2
(186 m

NFPA deflector-to-ceiling distances; and,
NFPA obstruction criteria for standard spray sprinklers.
*12’-6" (3,8 m) is allowed in 25’-0" (7,6 m) wide bays.
5. Approved by Factory Mutual Research Corporation as follows:
Installed in accordance with the applicable “control mode specific area/density” guidelines provided by Factory Mutual. (FM guide-
lines may differ from UL, C-UL, and ULC Listing criteria.)
(a). UL Listed as corrosion resistant.
(b). FM Approved for a maximum ceiling temperature of 150°F/66°C.
