1.1 About the TYAN YR290 B7018-D2
Congratulations on the purchase of the TYAN YR290 B7018-D2, a highly
optimized rack mount barebone system. The YR290 B7018-D2 is designed to
support up to (2) Intel
®
Xeon 5500/5600 Series processors and up to 96GB
RDIMM or 48GB UDIMM DDR3-800/1066/1333 memory per node. Utilizing
advanced technology from Intel
®
, the YR290 B7018-D2 system provides
scalable 32/64-bit computing, high bandwidth memory design, and lightning-fast
PCI-E bus capabilities. The YR290 B7018-D2 not only manages currentIT
environments, but also flexibility for future application usage.
TYAN

also offers the YR290 B7018-D2 in a version that can support up to
sixteen hot-swap hard drives (eight per node). The YR290 B7018-D2 uses latest
chassis designs which features a solid mechanical enclosure and robust
features. All of this provides the YR290 B7018-D2 with the power and flexibility
