Step 5: Activate iThermostat
Caution
To prevent personal injury and/or property damage, contact Customer Service at 1-866-733-1807
before
attempting any step in the installation process that you are unsure about how to perform.
After installing the iThermostat, activate the test light to confirm that it is communicating with your
Gateway.
Test communications between Gateway and iThermostat:
1) Log in to iThermostat web site at
www.txu.com/iThermostat
using the user name and password
provided to you on the welcome letter included in the kit.
2) Click on the “
Profile”
tab and then click the
“Activate Test Light”
button. This will flash the green
LED on your iThermostat for 1 hour and update the current time and date. Check iThermostat to confirm that
green light is flashing and that your time and date are current. This is your indication that your iThermostat
and Gateway are communicating and activated.
3) Select program tabs to establish initial programming. Local programming instructions can be found at
http://www.txu.com/iThermostat
