Rack Installation (continued)

8.

Start an 8mm x 20mm allen bolt through each
of the two holes in the lower mounting plate,
through a 2mm spacer/washer and loosely
thread into the passenger footpeg holes.

We strongly recommend using fresh
thread locker every time these bolts are
installed.

Leave loose until all bolts are installed. (Fig. 5)

*If the 2mm spacers/washers are not
installed, the bolt may contact the swing
arm during vehicle operation and cause
damage or injury.*

9.

Repeat steps 5 – 7 on the left side of the bike

10.

Start four 6mm x 20mm bolts through each of
the holes in the rear brace mounting plates,
through the pannier hoop rear mounting plates,
through a 6mm washer, and thread into a 6mm
nylock nut.
Leave loose until all other bolts on the rack are
tightened. (Fig. 6)

12.

Tighten all bolts on the side panniers starting in
the front and moving towards the rear of the
bike. After the side racks are secured, tighten
the bolts on the rear brace.

(Optional) Passenger Foot Pegs

13.

If you wish to add passenger foot pegs to
replace the OEM ones removed for installation,
the racks are designed to accept 12mm foot
pegs such as the Bike Master Buddy Motorcycle
Foot Pegs available from Rocky Mountain
ATV/MC (Item# 1228280002).
