8. INSTALLATION
STEP 1
Read Safety Instructions
• Read the safety instructions on page 2 before installing.
IMPORTANT: It is the responsibility of the installer to comply with the manufacturer's safety and
installation standards.
STEP 2
Unpack the Kitchen Hood and Prepare the Tools
• Carefully unpack the range hood and parts, to make sure all parts are included, as shown on
page 4 .
• Before any installation, make sure that the product works properly and in good condition.
• Check with a qualified installer that all local regulations for air requirements are met.
STEP3
Location Planning
• Choose a location that meets all of the Safety and Installation requirements in this manual. Also
plan the location of the conduits to be installed.
• A run of straight or short ducts allows the device to operate more efficiently. Long strokes of
ducts, elbows and transitions can reduce the performance of the device. Each elbow is the
equivalent of 1.5 to 3 m (5 to 10 ft) of straight travel through loss of performance.
• If the duct is already installed: make sure it is free of all debris.
STEP4
Test Device Functions
• Connect the device and test all functions before installation.
• Place the range hood on a stable surface. Connect the range hood to a standard outlet (120-Volt, 60Hz)
and turn on the range hood. Check the operation of the range hood by referring to the Operation
section of this manual.
• Check that the range hood turns on properly.
• Check all lights, as well as the operation of the fan.
Warning:
• Please be sure to read ALL of the safety instructions on page 2.
• Use two or more people to move and install the range hood.
