8. INSTALLATION

•
Align the upper support frame to desired ceiling
location. Mount to the ceiling using four “A”
screws. The support must be securely fastened to the
joists.
•
If ceiling joists or stud blocks are not available, it
is required to build a supporting structure behind
the sheet rock for weight support. This may require
additional hardware.
•
Position each upper support frame extensions on
the corners of the ceiling mount bracket and fasten
each with two “B” bolts. Adjust and mark each lower
support frame extensions as necessary to achieve
the proper height for the range hood (See Height
and Clearance on Page 5).
•
Fasten lower support extensions to upper support
frame extensions two “B” bolts on each
•
IMPORTANT: Always use first and second holes on
the extensions on the upper (next to the ceiling) and
lower (next to the hood)
•
Calculate the height of the duct tube (sold
separately) and extend approximately 6 inches
longer than required, connect the upper end of the
duct tube to the vent system.
•
Slide the upper chimney cover over the completed
support frame and fasten with two “B” bolts to the
upper support frame.
•
Slide the lower chimney over the lower support
frame and around the upper chimney cover. Have
second person to hold it in position.
•
Have a third person raise up and hold the island
range hood in position, connect power plug to the
house wiring and connect the duct work to the
range hood.
•
Mount the hood to the lower support frame
extensions sing eight “B” bolts.
•
Slide the lower chimney cover down carefully so that
it sits on top of the hood.
•
Install grease cup and aluminum filters then check
the operation of the range hood.
Turin Normandie (TU18703)
•
Align the upper support frame to desired ceiling
location. Mount to the ceiling using four “A”
screws. The support must be securely fastened to the
