ECM Blower Motor

Hardware and Sequence – GEO-Logic is equipped and programmed to operate with a Modbus/RS485 ECM
motor. Each size motor is characterized to its assigned blower wheel/housing for CFM.

ECM motor start is coincident with stat-Y, W2, E. Programmed within the ECM motor is a 45-second ramp-up
and ramp-down.

The Y2 CFM becomes the reference point. There is a heat and cool Y2 CFM recorded within the GEO-
LOGIC™ board. An 8-position dial switch selects the Y2 CFM relating to applicable installed model size. All
model sizes do not have to be available or active; this is an assignment relating to the dial switch.

Model Size Switch is directly below the 10 terminal thermostat block.

The thermostat wired functions have an assigned CFM related to the above. Also, the Y2/Y1 CFM can be
further modified by the thermostat functions.

Y1 and Y2 can be fine-tuned or tweaked with a 4-position dial switch. This relates to both the Y1 and Y2 CFM
for the selected model size dial switch. The 4-positions are 0%, -6%, +6%, +12%.
The Y1 and Y2 tweak switch is found directly below the Model Size Switch.
